Products
Create products with addons and downloads, issue licenses and post updates.
Products, licenses and their downloads belong to the Core module. You manage them under Store in the dashboard, and customers see them at /products.
Creating a Product
Under Products, click Create.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The product name. |
| Slug | The URL, as in /products/my-product. Made from the name when left empty. |

| Featured | Sorts it first and marks it in product lists. |
| Download Type | Where the file comes from. See below. |

Downloads
| Download Type | Where the file is |
|---|---|
none | No download. |
url | A link you host somewhere else. |
host | A file you upload, stored in Prism's data/ folder. |
s3 | A file you upload, stored in your S3 bucket. Needs Settings > S3 Storage. |
Uploaded files are never linked publicly. When a customer clicks Download, Prism checks they own an active license and gives them a short-lived link. Every download is logged with the user, file, size and IP, and shows under Download Logs on the product page for your team.
Addons
Each addon has a name, icon, price and its own download. Customers pick addons when they buy, or buy them later for a product they already own. Addons are added to the customer's existing license instead of making a new one.
Turn addons off for the whole store, or choose tickboxes or a popup for picking them, under Settings > Checkout.
Licenses
Every purchase issues a license that ties a customer to a product. Prism makes them for you at checkout, and you can make or change them by hand under Licenses.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Product | The product it unlocks. |
| User | Who owns it. |
| Addons | Which of the product's addons it includes. |
| Status | active, inactive or deactivated. Only active licenses can download. |
| Expires | When it stops working. Leave it empty for lifetime. |
Each license gets a unique key. Customers see their licenses, keys, addons and downloads under My Licenses in their account.
A customer can hold one active license per product. Buying the same product again is blocked, but they can still buy its addons.
Product Pages
Each product page has these tabs:
| Tab | Who sees it | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Overview | Everyone | The description, addons, links and buy buttons. |
| Updates | Everyone | Version history and changelogs. |
| Reviews | Everyone | Star ratings and reviews. |
| Download Logs | Your team | The last 50 downloads. |
| Purchase Logs | Your team | Who bought it and which addons. |
