# Dashboard

URL: https://zerodev.ca/docs/prism/dashboard

> Sign in to /admin, find your way around and give your team access.

The admin dashboard is part of Prism and lives at `/admin` on the same port as your store. There is nothing extra to install or build.

## Signing In

Open `/admin` and sign in with any provider you turned on. Anyone can create an account on your site, but only your team gets into the dashboard:

| Account | What happens |
| --------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The license owner | Signs in with full access. Matched by the Discord account on your Prism license. |
| A user with a role or extra permissions | Signs in with those permissions. |
| Anyone else | Turned away from `/admin`. They can still use the store and `/account`. |

People are matched to their user record by Discord ID, or by email once that email is verified. A disabled user cannot sign in to the dashboard and their sessions are ended.

## Roles

Prism creates these roles the first time it starts:

| Role | Access |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Owner | Everything. Given to the owner of your Prism license. Cannot be renamed or deleted. |
| Administrator | Everything. |
| Viewer | View users and roles. |

Edit them or make your own under **Roles**. A role cannot be deleted while users still have it.

### Permissions

| Permission | Allows |

| `audit.view` | The audit log. |
| `tokens.manage` | API tokens. |

`products.*` grants every `products.` permission. Modules add their own, such as `kora.view`.

## Adding Your Team

Your team members sign up on the site like anyone else, then you give them access:

1. Go to **Users** and find them, or click **Create** and enter their name, email or Discord ID.
2. Pick a **Role**, or add **Extra Permissions** on top of one.
3. Save. They can sign in to `/admin` straight away.

To find a Discord ID, turn on **Developer Mode** in Discord under **Settings > Advanced**, then right-click the user and click **Copy User ID**.

The owner cannot be disabled or removed. Deleting a user also deletes their sign-in account and ends their sessions.

## Updates

**Settings > Updates** shows your version and the newest one. Click **Check for Updates**, then update to install it. Turn on **Automatic Updates** to install new versions when Prism restarts.
