# Setup Guide

> Install Oasis on your Pterodactyl panel and turn it on.



Oasis installs like any other Pterodactyl v2 extension. There is nothing to build.

## Before You Start

You need:

* **Pterodactyl Panel v2**. Oasis does not run on v1.
* The `oasis.zip` from your BuiltByBit download. Addons have their own zips.
* Your license key.

## Install

1. Extract `oasis.zip`. Inside is one `.pteroext` file.
2. Install it from either place below.

    1) Open **Admin**, then **Extensions**.
    2) Upload the `.pteroext` file.
    3) Enable Oasis.
    4) Open **Themes** and activate Oasis.

    Run these from your panel folder:

    ```bash
    php artisan p:extension:install /path/to/oasis.pteroext --enable
    ```

    ```bash
    php artisan p:theme:activate oasis
    ```

## Activate Your License

Oasis stays locked until a license is active. Your panel keeps working while it is locked, but without the theme's customisation.

1. Open **Admin**, then **Theme Editor**.
2. Open the **License** section.
3. Enter your key and press **Activate**.

## Install Addons

Addons install the same way, with their own `.pteroext` files. They need Oasis installed first.
