> Let people put their own domains on their servers.

The Reverse Proxy addon lets users point a domain at their server, with automatic SSL. You choose the engine, and whether it runs on your panel or a node.

| Engine | Best for |
| ------- | -------------------------- |
| nginx | The usual choice. |
| Caddy | Simple, with built-in SSL. |
| Apache | If you already run it. |
| Traefik | Modern, with built-in SSL. |
| HAProxy | Heavy traffic. |

## Add a Reverse Proxy

1. Open **Admin**, then **Reverse Proxy**.
2. Pick an engine.
3. Enter a name, a location and an SSL email.
4. Press **Add Reverse Proxy**.
5. Run the install command it shows on that host, as root.

The agent installs the engine if needed, then keeps it in step with the panel.

The host needs ports `80` and `443` free, apart from nginx or Apache on the panel, which share them. Certificates come from Let's Encrypt, and installing accepts its terms.

## Add a Domain

1. Point the domain's DNS at the host.
2. Open the server's **Domains** page.
3. Add the domain.

The certificate is issued automatically, usually within a minute.
