# Giveaways

> Button-entry giveaways with entry requirements, automatic draws and rerolls.



Members enter a giveaway with one button. The button shows the entry count, and pressing it again leaves the giveaway. When the timer ends, Medusa draws the winners and announces them.

## Starting a Giveaway

```

Durations use minutes, hours, days or weeks, such as `30m`, `2h`, `3d` or `1w`. An unreadable duration falls back to one hour. Without `winners` one winner is drawn, and without `channel` the giveaway posts in the current channel.

## Requirements

A giveaway can require any of these to enter:

| Option    | Requirement                                                                |
| --------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `role`    | The member must have the role.                                             |
| `level`   | The member must be at least this level. Needs the Leveling module.         |
| `invites` | The member must have at least this many invites. Needs the Invites module. |

A level or invites requirement is skipped when its module is not installed.

## Settings

## Commands

| `/giveaway list [status]`                                                         | List active or ended giveaways.                                                                           |
| Reroll Giveaway                                                                   | Right-click a giveaway message, then **Apps > Reroll Giveaway**. Off by default on the **Commands** page. |

These commands belong to the Admin rank by default. The **Giveaways** dashboard page lists every giveaway with its entries and winners, and the **Giveaway Events** log records starts, ends and rerolls.
