# Events

Events lets staff schedule server events with interactive RSVP buttons, attendee limits, automatic reminders and recurring schedules.

## How It Works

1. A staff member runs `/event create` with a title, start time and optional capacity, required role or recurrence schedule.
2. Medusa posts an event card with **Attend**, **Tentative** and **Decline** buttons that update the roster live.
3. Before the event starts, Medusa sends a reminder in the channel and optionally DMs every attending member.
4. When the start time arrives, the event is marked active and recurring events schedule their next run automatically.

## Settings

| Default Event Channel               | None    | Channel used when none is picked in `/event create`.                      |
| Ping Role                           | None    | Role mentioned when an event is posted or starts.                         |
| Reminder Before Start (Minutes)     | 15      | Minutes before start to send the reminder.                                |
| Send Direct Message Reminders       | On      | DMs attending members when the reminder fires.                            |
| Sync with Discord Scheduled Events  | Off     | Creates and updates a native Discord Scheduled Event alongside the embed. |
| Clean Up Ended Events After (Hours) | 24      | Deletes finished or cancelled event records after this many hours.        |

## Commands

Creating, cancelling and reminding events requires Manage Events or the &#x2A;*Events ( Manage )** permission.

## Logs

The **Event Logs** category records created, started, cancelled and ended events.
