# Alerts

> Post an announcement when a creator goes live or uploads on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit or Twitter.



Alerts watches creators you pick and posts in a channel when they go live or publish something new. Everything is set up from the dashboard. There are no Discord commands.

## Adding a Creator

Open **Alerts > Stream Alerts** in the dashboard and add the creator's handle, the feed to watch, the channel to post in and an optional role to ping. Medusa checks every alert every 2 minutes.

Press **Test** after adding one. It posts a sample announcement so you can check the channel, the ping and the bot's permissions before a real stream starts.

Live feeds announce once when a stream starts. Upload feeds announce each new video or post. You can watch the same creator on several feeds.

## Settings

| Kick Embed Color               | `#53fc18` | Card color for Kick alerts.                       |
| TikTok Embed Color             | `#fe2c55` | Card color for TikTok alerts.                     |
| Instagram Embed Color          | `#e1306c` | Card color for Instagram alerts.                  |
| Reddit Embed Color             | `#ff4500` | Card color for Reddit alerts.                     |
| Twitter Embed Color            | `#1da1f2` | Card color for Twitter alerts.                    |

## Dashboard Actions

| Action | What it does                                           |

| Add    | Start watching a creator on one feed.                  |
| Test   | Send a sample announcement.                            |
| Check  | Show the creator's current live status or latest post. |
| Remove | Stop watching that feed.                               |
